They feel like an apprentice's attempts
Referenced in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that's for sure. Still, I have a hard time getting excited about such short episodes.
Reeves and Arnie play enjoyable roles
You can't get completely engrossed because you know it's over before you even get to form any kind of connection with the characters. It was nice to see the participation of celebrities. It's all a little too experimental and shallow for me.
The Pacman episode was ok
Besides, if I had the chance to choose the source material. I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games that I would have loved. But it was a demonstration of pushing artistic permissiveness to its absolute limits.
